DoD ELAP and ISO/IEC 17025:2017 accreditation provide a means for environmental laboratories to demonstrate their continued compliance with stringent QA/QC requirements. Beacon is DoD ELAP and ISO/IEC 17025 accredited for the analysis of soil gas and air samples following EPA Method 8260C, EPA Method TO-17, EPA Method TO-15, and EPA Method 325B.
National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) – EPA No.: MD01091
NELAP is a national program where state agencies serve as the accrediting bodies. Beacon is NELAP accredited through the state of Utah program for air and emission testing in accordance with the 2009 TNI Environmental Laboratory Sector Standard. Beacon is accredited for the analysis of air and soil gas samples following EPA Method 325B, EPA Method 8260C, and EPA Method TO-17.
National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP) – New York State – Lab Id No: 12097
Beacon has received laboratory accreditation by the New York Department of Health for the analysis of air and emissions samples via US EPA Method TO-17. This accreditation is in conformance with the National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Conference Standards (2003). The scope of accreditation includes VOCs ranging from vinyl chloride to naphthalene certifying Beacon can report a broad range of compounds in air or soil gas with demonstrated accuracy and defensibility.
Beacon Environmental Services, Inc., was granted Approved status to perform the analyses listed in the attached Scope of Approval, for Alaska contaminated sites projects, including underground storage tanks and leaking underground storage tank sites (UST/LUST), following US EPA Methods 8260C, TO-15, and TO-17.
The purpose of The NELAC Institute (TNI) National Environmental Field Activities Program (NEFAP) Executive Committee is to establish and implement an accreditation program for field sampling and measurement organizations (FSMOs). NEFAP accreditation provides a means for field sampling organizations to demonstrate their continued compliance with stringent QA/QC requirements for the collection of environmental field samples. Beacon is the first company to receive NEFAP accreditation and the Company is accredited for:
- the manufacture of sorbent samplers,
- shipment of sample collection kits containing sorbent samplers, and
- the collection of passive and active soil gas, indoor air, and ambient air samples, including in accordance with EPA Method 325A and EPA Method TO-17.
