Global Leader in
indoor and ambient air monitoring
Beacon Environmental uses advanced, passive sorbent samplers to identify trace levels of VOCs in indoor and ambient air, with samples collected over hours, days, or weeks to provide the most accurate health risk assessments.
HIGH-RESOLUTION
passive soil gas Surveys
Beacon’s time-integrated soil gas technologies deliver the high-resolution data needed to accurately identify VOCs and SVOCs in the subsurface for the development of detailed conceptual site models and streamlined remediation and monitoring programs.
Accurate. Reliable. timely.
a fully accredited laboratory
Beacon Environmental is a fully accredited sample testing laboratory known for quickly identifying organic compounds in soil gas and air that enables our clients to characterize sites and assess vapor intrusion and air emissions risks.
ProveN performance
Established in 1999, Beacon Environmental is the global leader in the collection, analyses, and reporting of soil gas, indoor/ambient air, and emissions data using the most advanced methods in the industry.
Know What Lies Below and in The Air Above
Passive sorbent samplers provide quantitative data to sample for VOCs and SVOCs in soil gas, indoor air, and ambient air. Extensive research and empirical data has proven that VOC concentrations in vapor change seasonally, weekly, daily, and even hourly; therefore, passive samplers allow you to collect a sample over days or weeks to more accurately determine the potential health risk to building occupants from subsurface contamination.
Accredited Sample Testing Laboratory
Beacon is the industry leader in customer service, delivering high quality and accurate data, and achieving reporting limits to meet regulatory standards.
- ISO/IEC 17025:2017
- DOD ELAP (Version 5.3)
- NELAP
- TNI/NEFAP (Beacon is the first company to receive this accreditation.)
Global Leader in Soil Gas and Ambient Air Analyses
Since 1999, Beacon Environmental has supported environmental managers and consultants both nationally and internationally and has
- Worked with 100s of clients, government agencies and universities
- Received and analyzed samples from every state and more than 40 countries from across all 7 continents
- Pioneered and defined global methods
- Set new standards and achieved new levels of data accuracy
- Helped develop and improve government testing standards and requirements
Beacon Receives Accreditation for EPA Method 325
In 2015, the US EPA established a new rule requiring all petroleum refineries to monitor the emissions of Benzene around the facilities’ perimeter using sorbent tubes that passively sample air for 2-week periods (EPA Method 325).
US EPA Releases Technical Guidance for Passive Indoor Air Sampling
The US EPA released in August 2015 an Engineering Issue Paper titled, Passive Samplers for Investigations of Air Quality: Method Description, Implementation, and Comparison to Alternative Sampling Methods.
US EPA Releases Vapor Intrusion Guidance Document as Final
The US EPA released in June 2015 the Vapor Intrusion Guidance Document in its final version: OSWER Technical Guide for Assessing And Mitigating the Vapor Intrusion Pathway from Subsurface Vapor Sources to Indoor Air. In 2002, the EPA released the DRAFT version of the document which quickly became outdated as practices and knowledge rapidly developed in managing sites with vapor intrusion concerns.
