Last month, Beacon presented technology updates at four workshops across three cities in Brazil. The workshops focused on presenting the best practices for identifying and remediating contaminated areas. Beacon’s president, Harry O’Neill, gave two presentations at each workshop, discussing the latest technologies and industry trends for vapor intrusion monitoring and high-resolution site characterization, including extensive applications of Beacon’s technologies throughout Brazil over the past 7 years.
Beacon’s technologies have now become a standard in Brazil with CETESB (the São Paulo environmental agency) issuing a regulatory guidance document recommending as a preferred site characterization method the collection of passive soil gas samples that are provided by Beacon.
