Last month, Beacon presented technology updates at four workshops across three cities in Brazil. The workshops focused on presenting the best practices for identifying and remediating contaminated areas.
In February, Beacon Environmental Services hosted a visit by Maryland State Comptroller Peter Franchot who is visiting successful small businesses throughout Maryland. Beacon showcased the company’s user friendly BeSure Sample Collection Kit used by environmental professionals for self-conducted sampling to locate and delineate organic contamination.
Beacon participated in a well-attended workshop in Sao Paulo, Brazil, where Beacon continues to apply the company’s passive soil gas technology to perform high-resolution site investigations for a broad range of VOCs and SVOCs.
BEACON’s President, Harry O’Neill, is an invited delegate to Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley’s Trade Mission to Brazil. The purpose of the trade mission, which will visit Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro from Dec. 1 to Dec. 7, 2013, is to promote and strengthen partnerships between Brazilian and Maryland businesses, academic institutions, and government agencies.
